ok i watched that tutorial on scales about how it sets the mood for the song.  Does anyone know what scales people like Dr. Dre use to make "party" style songs like In Da Club, Outta Control remix, etc.

They tend to use scales with a darker tone. If you go to that Chordhouse site in the tutorial, try some scales that are Arabian, Gypsy, Spanish or Phyrygian Mode.

that site is very usefule.

if u guys knew specific scales by name on that chordhouse site that gave certain "moods" to songs, could you post them on this thread, like example

party style - Arabian, Gypsy, Spanish or Phyrygian Mode

maybe this is a good idea....i duno....lol
