I got a question about vinyl sampling. I was wondering if anyone can help me. Im tryin to record vinyl through my sound cards line in, but i was wondering if anyone who does records into cool edit or what....and what can i do if i cant record through my line in...i can hear audio but i cant record with cool edit...is there an option to change or somethin?

i dont use cool edit but it should be in options.it should say "sound device" and then you select your sound card . then it will ask for sound source then you select " Line in". then press ok.

go to options it should be there ,under sound

the way i sample vinyl is i use microsoft plus media and a converter to to convert it to a wav and then i use it in fl studio

iight i figured it out, ill just sample my vinyls through fl studio...the sound quality is good, but not great but thats because of my records....lonely thug, ray1411 thanks for the help

is ur turntable plugged into a mixer or just straight into ur soundcard, im trying to start sampling vinyl

and to record via ur line in in cool edit just go to options--->windows recording mixer, and check line in

its plugged into a phono preamp then my mixer then my sounds cards line in port
im not usin a dj mixer so i had to get a phono preamp first
