Yo guys,

So I listen to a lot of hiphop and rap and whatnot. Now I let some people from my school listen to J Dilla and Wu-Tang Clan, and all my friends know I like hiphop, but they think its, like they say 'niggamusic'. Whats up with that? I thought Hiphop isnt about colour, but about really liking the music (and being a relaxed person ofc ), tho they seem to think its the same as people who listen to 50cent all day and wear oversized clothes (wiggers I mean). I mean, thats not the same right, cuzz im actually kinda confused, cuzz when I say I like hiphop, people automatically relate that to the whole gangsta scene thing going 'round. Thoughts?

This is kinda like another topic going atm
They really say 'niggamusic' though? wow

you really cant make someone listen to hip-hop, people dont care like we do. if you play them a hot song, there happy, end of. so seek out those into hip-hop rather than impose hip-hop on those who are resistant to it

anyway, you got dilla now, what you need friends for?

hahaha dilla is my best friend. exile is one of my fav up n coming producers and hes white. big pun aint black neither is eminem or immortal technique but theyre all amazing. or at least used to be. technique is still hot. alchemist is white. hip hop in its inception had nothing to do with race, the white people in the south bronx were in the cyphers and breakin and bombing just like the black and latino people it just so happens thats theres barely any white people in the ghetto. hip hop was not a racial movement it was a cultural movement, just like punk rock. those dudes in the 5xl white tees rockin 50 cent aint hip hop their rap fans, they know nothing of hip hop

This is a topic that could go on forever, just take what you love from hip hop and live ya life. We cannot save the world nor can we open all CLOSED MINDS... so do you and just don't flex with them musically because they may soon have your mind closing lol
