I need some help, or a jump off point, for making a song. Numerous songs I like seem impossible to make as a beginner, and I have no clue on where to start. I know the basics, like making a simple beat, but that's obviously not going to pay any bills in the future.  I would like to make more hip hop oriented songs, songs that incorporate different instruments, like a guitar/synth, or an organ, but whenever I start to do so, the beat and instruments doesn't always synchronize together well. I have FLStudio and I want to create more Soundtrakk/Lupe Fiasco type melodic/aggressive hip hop beats, but I need a point of direction. Can anyone help me, or point me to some useful tutorials, or something? I would greatly appreciate it.

I might check this out...

Making Music Where to Start

If that's too basic I guess I would say get a CD ( instrumental if you can) in the closest style to what your trying to do and pick the most simple tune and remake it. Keep doing that asking for help when you get stuck until you get where you want to be in that style and you can start attempting to remake the beats you really admire. Long story short, start slow... Eventually one or two of the four or five points I pointed out in the article above will "stick out" to you as weak points. For most people chordscales / key centers are usually a stumbling block and then sound design and maybee stylistic considerations as a third point. There are lots of tutorials here on musical styles:

Some of the songs you want to make will be much easier if you start with simple songs and work your way up to the harder ones naturally...

to add to that..

practice!...... alot..

Remember there is no 'schortcut' to greatness. If you really wanna have a serious go at this, take in account you will be spending 'alot & alot' of hours untill you have emulated that real 'pro' sound you're looking.. at the same time the extent of time this will take is all up to you ..

Just a lil'tip..
