| ^ Yes but how can u ignore them...
i just had a wicked funkin idea... design a drum kit with 808s and kicks that go perfectly with each other and are EQ'ed to where you just have to pick and choose a pair...
now someone is going to steal my idea and run with it... funk it | | | -=Rate My Beat=-

| yeah labt3k the krk 10 is a perfect match for the krk 5's would probably be a better match for the 8's though, but yes there are xlr and rca outputs on the sub and the krk monitors hook up nicely and even has an adjustable frequency to the monitors so they dont have to drive the bass | | | |

| no my subs not on top its down below my desk perfectly centered, i used to have it on my old desk on a shelf, but that wasnt good at all, on the crossover part you just need to dial it in by ear and send the frequencies that your speakers can best produce to those speakers only. The sub has those adjustments plus youve got your frequency and volume controls on the krk monitors. | | | |

| in my opinion...and this is just my opinion...having a sub really distorts your mix. for listening to music by all means, get one...but for your home studio you're better off with a good set of monitors or even headphones. it's also my opinion that the 808 is really overused. get creative guys!! | | | |

| ^i doubt your opinion... i believe if you set up anything you have right, and know how it translates, a sub would benefit you greatly, but giving you a larger workspace so to speak when it comes to the lower frequencies | | | -=Rate My Beat=-

| Yes put seeting up sub properly in a home enviroment is tedious bizniz. What ever you do, dont's just smack it on the concrete floor under your desk tho. You are supposed to listen to the vibrating air, not your vibrating floors and walls | | | |

| MrWhitfield says "in my opinion...and this is just my opinion...having a sub really distorts your mix"
I would agree if you don't have it setup properly and you turn the sub way up because you like mad bass, then your mix will come out shy of bass. I used to say mix with the sub off, which is a good practice if you don't have a good sub or have it setup wrong, but now I say put in a good cd and set everything so that cd sounds perfect then when you go to mix youll try and achieve that sound. BUTTTT! nothing will beat a set of well trained ears, and that just takes time. | | | |
