im always tryin 2 take my music 2 the next level, not jus the music but my business too. im tryin to come up with a name that appeals to all genres of music. i like dade county productions, but it doesn't appeal 2 lets say, a country singer. i don't want to get rid of it tho, i want dade county productions to be for my beats. but i need a name for when i decide to sign artist. i was thinking next level entertainment and for a couple reasons. 1. i like video games.(any body wanna go on street fighter 4, get at me wit your psn ) 2. im always tryin to make my music better, i take the extra step 2 make my beats radio ready. 3. i always look to the future, i say what happens next and then i try 2 see what happens. next level entertainment, it can appeal to more genres than jus hip hop. do you guys think its a good name, or got anything better

Pick what appeals to you, that way you attract like people. You are never gonna appearl or please everybody.

Taylor Barclay is one of the coolest funkin' names I ever heard, what if your name was Eugene Poopenstien? (lol)

I just roll with my birthname because a stage name I don't feel is me.

In my eyes, what's realer than your own name?

It's very challenging to come up with a stage name on your own imo, that's usually something that somebody else comes up with and you adopt along the way.

Would you sit around and give yourself a nickname? Lol. But like A.G.C. said, pick what appeals to you the most.

I think your birthname is the best to use..

my name is edward collins, not really catchy, if i had a cool name like yours or somebody like kanye west, i would, but my name is plain. my "stagename", im debating between big-e and mr.dade county. my friends call me big-e, but my beats are produced under dade county productions, but im not talkin bout my name as a producer, im talkin bout my name as a lable, im lookin in to the future ya kno. things like slip-n-slide ent, universal records and ish like dat. it don't look right signin a rock group to dade county productions. thats why im tryin 2 think of a good name for a record lable

I think Ed Collins is dope, but I also know people who think my name doesn't have that "star" quality. I used to not like my name too, but I got over it once I realized what I said in my last post.

But on your question about the record label, that's something that you could get creative with.

O.K. First... DR. J, Jeremy James is the ish! Alliteration... Peter Parker, Reed Richards etc. dem niggas was worth $4 billiion.

Dade County all them beats is cool, personally China Town is a personal fave. Real original. Limelight is up there too but the first two hits on each phrase might be a little loud otherwise, tight.

I don't know but Collins is actually "pretty universal" while still being unique in the genre you work in. I think Ed Collins is fine. Maybee Edward if that first joint is your preference in beats. Edward sounds more R & B. Ed Collins sounds more like that producer doing crazy ish that everyone who is in the know, knows. So... do you wanna be smooth or eclectic? Cause I hear both in your music and if I was an A & R guy I'd be like we need a consistent image... pick one. There's always album tracks where you can do what you want after the first album goes gold. After listening to all your songs on here I'd go with Ed or E.

good ideas thanks, but the thing about me is i don't have a set style, one day r&b and the next im dirty south or a sampler, i make music dependin on how i feel or what vibe i get wen i here a sound
