29 Aug 2009 04:55 AMA newbie protools question ^^
So yeah, basically, i've had protools for a good 3 months now and i've never gotten around to actually using it
and since theres no recording in FL (well there is, but its gay) its time for me to explore the world of protools ^^

i'm trying to do some songwriting, and i dont sing... at all xD, so i'm planning on using autotune (for the songWRITING not for the actual production, dont mistake me for a t pain wannabe)
so i know how to create a track in PT and all that, but what i dont know, is how to add autotune (or Guitar rig 3 for that matter) to it, so i can sing trough that? i've tried adding stuff like reverb etc. wich works like a charm. but autotune doesnt even show up in the plugin list at all.. matter of fact, none of my plugins show up in that list exept for this one plugin  called iZotope Vinyl and the PT8 LE standard stuff.. does anyone know how to solve this?

Pro Tools doesnt support VSTs, and I'm guessing you have autotune as a VST
need it as RTAS

Never mind this thread, after some hours of trying stuff i figured out that my plugins were in the wrong folder, and that my autotune was outdated.
both problems solved now ^^
