28 Aug 2009 11:54 AMlookin for someone whos good at mixin n masterin in FLStudio....
whats up people I've been workin on a beat recently n its just about finished so I let a few rappers hear it n theyre wantin to use it... the only problem is that i'm not very good at mixin - ish tbh- and I feel that it would be a waste to not get the beat mixed properly if someones gonna rap on it and people are gonna hear it.
So i'm lookin for someone who mixes beats for other producers and that are really good at it. I'm willing to pay anyone who does the job as good as they would one of their own beats - but u gotta be good lol..n btw i'm givin the beat out for free

n before anyone says do it yourself etc..even timbo gets an engineer do mix his ish and right now i'm not good at it
anyone who think they can help get back to me in this thread or through a message

Well, i'd be willing to mix your stuff for a small price, like minimum wage. if your giving it out for free i'm not gonna ask you to pay alot lol.
so if thats what you want then yeah, let me know

but still tho, are you sure you dont want to do it yourself? timbo might have an audio engineer but i can assure you he's not bad at mixing himself. he just has one cause he's too lazy to master it himself probably.

make sure u think about that. cause you dont want to depend on an audio engineer already BEFORE you even launch a possible career

^^agreed...u can't be that bad at mixing...if u think its bad n not satisfied do it by trial and error and when u etst it use 3 diff sources of speakers...ex. car/comp/cd player/earphones/ipod/zune/cowin/etc. whatever lol...if it sounds good on all the one's u try then its good man...me personally i use my ipod for listening to it thru headphones so i can hear my automations thruout the spectrum plus the reverb...and my car has 3 dif settings...1. neutral..which is nice cause it plays almost no bass n can hear all the sound...then there's a setting called 2. hear...can hear all the sound a lot better and bass comes thru more...then there's 3. feel...thats the abss setting...that's what I use anyway...hope that helped.

Do it yourself , You have to learn it , and practise is the best way of earning knowledge . You should learn it lol

You know funny thing is there's like steps to how u learn to make music...for me...when i frst started all i cared about was melodies and making it sound really cool...then came the drums...i wanted the drums be awesome sounding and hit or pop the way i wanted to...then i realized people automate sounds and they move all the spectrum...then i noticed the differences between dry and reverbed instruments, they make a difference...these are steps that i learned for mixing and my stuff is sounding better...gradually but it takes time to learn everything...especially to train ur ear for these things...learning too much at once can cause overload n piss ya off haha...for me anyway...one thing at a time.

yea I know what you mean..cos right now I'm focussin on coming up with ideas for melodies n drums cos i see that as bein the most important part.
I already do things like reverb,eq'n n compressin etc but I just don't fully understand them yet.I also find that I like most of the pieces of the beat but its just tryna get them to gel right together in the mix.

If you see this Slavebell let me know if you could do it n how much u usually charge..or if anyone else is an audio engineer or are good at it get back to me as soon as possible

Let me check your beat, if I feel like it won't take too much time, I'll do it for you.

You can check my stuff in the sig to check out my mixing if you're concerned.
