How do i set up FL to record Audio w/ a plug in mic? Meaning a 3.5 mm jack microphone. Hope I can do it and didn't waste my money. Thanks.

go to Options > Audio Settings... if you have "primary sound driver" selected, you want to switch that to your microphone, it should be listed under asio devices...

once you do that...
- go to the mixer and select an empty mixing track
- change the input (top right of mixer) to your microphone
- at the bottom of the mixing track, there is a little disk icon, click that
- type in what you want to save the recording as and click save... the little disk icon should turn yellow
- now you are ready to record... right click next to the record button (at the top next to start and play) and make sure "audio" is checked
- click the record button so it lights up, make sure you are in "song" mode instead of "part" mode

-press play and talk into your mic... press stop... the recording should show up in the playlist

hope that helps

can't you record into audacity if that picks it up? the drop the pella into FL once its recorded?

But you might need a new soundcard for FL. But i'm not very hardware oriented lol. But definatly...if Audacity picks up the mic, hit record in there lol

in the bottom right of the mixer there should be some options from output... try switching that around to find if theres an output that you can hear
