| Never been in a band... but still in High school. I don't know where the geeky stereotype came from, I find marching bands raw. I see it as a helpful musical experience. | | | -=Rate My Beat=- Take a min to rate, pop your link in, I'll Return the Favor, Like Keri Hilson

i was in a lil band for like a year in high school my friend was rapping, i was drumming and doing rap vocal back ups, a guitar guy, a keyboard guy and a female singer but it wasnt all that serious, we never really got around to actually laying down something solid in a studio
i hear alot of hip hop producers used to be in bands and such

| Yep, played the Snare drum in a Marching Band. Quit after I realized it was conflicting with my Pokemon schedule.
I wouldn't say it influenced me a lot but it was definitely one of the things that made me realize I enjoyed the creation of music and sound(s). It was also one of the things that brought the aspect of discipline in music to my attention.

| I still play in one of my school bands (well people would argue my blowing of the sax is far from playing). Our school is odd though like the hottest girls and the coolest guys all do music. Like over a quater of our school is in a music ensamble so it's not at all geeky. The way I would say playing in a band has influenced my composing is through harmony and interplay. I often try and get hold of conductor scores just so I can check out how instruments should work together. | |

| I play mallets and bass drum. it's good to play mallets cause you can look at the songs you are playing and make something out of it on a keyboard | | | |

| don't get me wrong when i say band geeks, down in where im from band geeks is a good thing, people who have a love 4 band and 4 music are called band geeks, the ones that are always playin drum cadences on the tables in class or hummin there part in a song. if u grew up around black college bands (hbcu) like cookman, then u here the term band geek often | | | DADE COUNTY THA BEST!!!!!

| Oh yeah. Band is my true music love. Production is just something i do on the side. 1st chair Alto Sax, baby. (Concert AND Jazz) And that's in a 5A Texas school. I also play Soprano and Bari Sax. I've never had the chance to play Tenor . I can also play clarinet if you make me but I hate it. AND I'm a drum major for our marching band. You can't find a bigger band nerd than me, haha. It takes up most of my time which is why y'all haven't hear from me in a while. I'm trying to make All-state concert this year, so wish me luck! Band has a huge influence on my production because i love that big brassy sound and I learned a lot about chords in Jazz Band. It also hurts me a little because I like to make things complicated when i should just keep them simple. | | http://www.myspace.com/GPUProductions

Ahh those guys are all my mates, they are the ones who really love playing music and being part of music. I'm the odd one out, the guy who like creating it. | |
