In the OH BOY Jus Blaze beats that NFX does he  shows us how to use the tempo detect tool to match the sample tempo to the FL project tempo. Now you have the tempo matched so you can then use the pitch knob to match the pitch.

So I dont get why when he is trying to match the intro in the tutorial that he uses the multiplier, which from what I think I understand changes the pitch and tempo of the sample. Wouldnt it be way easier to just let the tempo detect tools find the tempo then just adjust the pitch knob to match the pitch. Does you guys use the multiplier knob for samples and why, cause it dictates how fast you want to sample to play based on the pitch?Seems like it would make more sense to have control over the speed and pitch independantly.

Also I once seen someone change his pitch of his sample by using the keyboard picture in the regular sampler channel screen so he can adjust it in whole steps, but when I do it it changes the speed of the sample, is this just a matter of readjusting the project tempo?

i think those tempo detection programs...are not very good...
detecting tempo is easy.....just listen....im sure you will be able to master it..
and you can speed up the sample......and make the pitch 2 stay same...nfx shows that in his tutorials about samples......just set time streching on sample to tonal

I did that tut long ago and I don't remember why I did what I did, only that it was a way to accomplish my goal. OH BOY was the first remake I ever did - I think.
