I started in the MySpace forums.
Those seem to work very well to begin with...
But rest assured if 100 people post the same information there will be competition and less referrals coming from that site.
So you have to try different forums...Many, MANY different forums.

Also don't try to game the system.
If you are posting your link somewhere saying its a link to pictures of Jessica Alba naked then WB isn't benefiting from it at all.
That will also most likely result in a BAN.

So there you have it.
You have gotten all the information that I, Taylor B. (The Referral Machine here at WB lol), used to get my 380 referrals. And I'm not even the leader in referrals here either..

Searching the Files...

Yes I know it sucks.. There are so many files now but if you follow these tips, your searching will happen much better until I find a better solution...

1) Always type your searches in quotes. For example, when looking for DT Production remakes, try using the term "DT Pro" instead of DT Pro

2) Click the GO button! Pressing enter will activate the upload button. Yes it sucks, but thats how it's programmed and I can't change it.

3) If the search results gets screwy, start fresh by going to File>UploadsDownloads

Post any more hints if you got em....

So i was messin around with Camtasia and PalTalk (its a video/voice chat software, for those who dont know). In PalTalk you can create your own room...even password protected if you want....and its unlimited to the number of people you can have in these private rooms...For example you can have 20 people in the room..all chatting (just like any chat software) but, if you want, you can also have 20 videos open of those 20 members (providing they have a webcam OR using the Camtasia screen capture stream feature)...but....

Here is what i was foolin with...i figured out how to link Camtasia to Paltalk...using Camtasias video capture driver...SO for example...Tee, NFX, myself or WHOEVER could be doing a LIVE tutorial, while all 20 members are watching....OR...we could do colabs or battles that way...cuz you can also file share in that room...so i, or ANYBODY could lay some chops and drums (while you watch) send the .rsn file, .flp file, Cubase project file etc.. through file transfer to whoever wants to jump on the next part. They could open their video (using the Camtasia driver) and show their additon....then pass it on..so fourth and so on....or you can just hang out, play your beats, chat, get on the mic, share techniques...etc.

Only one downside....to get full motion HIGH SPEED, TV QUALITY video....and yes it is FAST..you gotta pay a small fee to PalTalk...its like 20 bucks for three months, not 20 bucks a month but, 20 BUCKS FOR THREE MONTHS thats like $6.67 a month...which really aint ish.....and if you dont like it, cancel the TV quality..and go back to the regular features...NO CONTRACT! NO BS! It isnt required to pay the 20 bills, again PALTALK IS FREE, but you will reap the benefits by gaining
the high speed video.

Download the free version, and you'll have the option to upgrade whenever you want
The room is password protected for now till we discuss things, and see the response to this
Ill post up in both forums (Warbeats and Todaysbeats) daily when the lounge is open, gonna
do it like this for now, if the response is heavy ill set up a time schedule, and give out some
admin priledges to open the room when i cant.

Anyway..thought it may be fun, and a good learning experience..would keep us frosty and creative while we sit in the cut waitin on new tuts.....seeing as how Warbeats and Todaysbeats are fam, i think it would be great for all us to be together in one place
to network, make each community grow!! IN REALTIME!

Alot of people have been asking how to put images in their sigs that link up to their soundclick.. This is how you do it..

1. FIRST YOU HAVE TO UPLOAD THE IMAGE YOU WANT TO APPEAR IN YOUR SIG

Go to http://www.imageshack.us/

Click browse and select the Picture you want in your sig..

Then Click - Host it!

After the picture uploads the browser will refresh and bring you to the links to your image.. Copy the "Hotlink for websites" code..

2. Most people dont know how to get into their sigs on wb so heres how to get there..

From the forum page on Warbeats click "My Profile" as shown in the picture.. it should be top right just on top of the general discussion forum..

Your account details should be up now click on edit profile on the bottom left of the screen

Now paste the pictures code in the space under signature..

OK now you have to edit the code to link it up to ur sounclick or myspace or whatever site you want..

Ok so you posted your beat on the BFS and now you want to see your feed that you recived but how?

You should get the page of ur beat upload. If this does not work for you lemme kno, i'll try my best to help. There is another method but i'll only show it if this does not work for you guys.

I know some of you guys have that sound on your keyboard that u just gotta put on one of ur beat, but the thing is u cant get the sounds off. Well.

note: this applys to keyboards that dont have .wav or somekind of audio exporting function. So if u are using a Motif or something that i dont think you will really need to look at this.

SAHA PRODUCTIONS GUIDE ON HOW TO RIP SOUNDS OFF UR KEYBOARD

This what u gotta do.

Buy an Instrument cable 1/4th inch is good. then buy an Adapter to convert the 1/4th to an 1/8th inch plug. Then u plug the 1/4th side, into the keyboards output (mainly the headphone jack) and the 1/8th side to your computers microphone jack. After that, open up FL and go to the mixer window, and select a channel. Go to the inputs in the upperleft corner of the mixer and click the microphone input on ur comp. Put the vol at a good level (not to loud i will explain later) and play some notes, u should be gettin some sound from ur keyboard comming out of your computer. There you have it. Your keyboard sounds commin through ur PC.

To record you have to press Rec. and start playing....(the crap thing is that theres no quantize so it sorta sucks but if u a crazy playa then its no need....i dont think thats possiable, from what i have heared that theres a program call Cakewalk SONAR and that has a audio quantize thing on it so u can quantize audio files)

Ok this is part i said i'll explain later VERY IMPORTANT!!!

I AM NOT SURE IF IT WILL DO ANYTHING BUT AFTER WHAT HAPPENED TO MY COMP I'M KEEPIN ON THE SAFE SIDE. I HAVE A PA MIXER AND I WAS TRYING TO OUTPUT THE MIXER FROM ITS LEFT OUT TO MY COMPS MIC JACK. THEN THERE WAS THIS NOISE WHICH WAS COMMIN FROM THE MIXER SO I DECIDED I SHOULD BOOST THE VOL. SO I CAN REMOVE THE NOISE AND KEEP THE STRUCTURE OF THE VOCALS THERE. THEN WHEN I PUT THE VOL UP ON THE MIXER THERE WAS THIS CLICK...WTF!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT I SKREWD MY COMP.... I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS TO MUCH DATA GOIN THROUGH THE CABLE INTO THE COMP AND THE COMPS SOUNDCARD COULDNT TAKE IT AND IT BURNED.....

SO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE I WOULD PUT THE VOL IN THE MIDDLE. SO IT WONT BURN THE SOUNDCARD.....ONCE AGAIN I DONT THINK THAT WILL HAPPEN COZ I HAVE DONE IT MYSELF WITH MY KEYBOARD (YAMAHA YPG-625) BUT U NEVER KNOW.

For those who have a Audio interface then all u gotta do is use a instrument cable from ur Keyboard into one of your inputs on ur interface.

ps. If any of you guys have a better or quicker method please go ahead and mention it.

HOW TO OPEN ".RAR" FILES (HOW TO OPEN SAMPLES FROM WARBEATS.COM)

Ok i'm writing this for the people who download samples off of Warbeats but cant seem to open/or use them.

Let me begin with giving yall some background on what a .rar file is. RAR files are compressed data (in this case "samples"). What an RAR file does is brings in an X number of files and compresses it into a smaller one file. In other words say if you have some files which all together is 600mb if u put it into a RAR file it will be compressed to 500mb (something like that, but it will smaller than the original).

How do i open these??? Well its very simple, all you have to do is download a extractor that will open up the RAR file so you get to the file/s within it (in this case your samples). What i use and recommend is this software, WinRAR.

Now that you have an exstractor open the file that you want to open and exstract it into a folder of your choice.

ps. there are alot of other programs that exstract RAR files but i like WinRAR the best.

For example if somebody wants a beat to be 3 16 Bar Verses, 8 Bar Chorus or 4 16 Bar Verses, 8 Bar Chorus how is this layed out? BTW I use FL Studio 7.
