Alright so here's the deal:

I'm starting up this thread in the hopes that all Warbeats users can share their diverse tastes in music by posting up artists, whether known or unknown.

But always try to post up an example track, what genre they are mainly, and at least a link to check out more of their work (i.e. their website or MySpace etc.)

You can even post up the latest thing on your iPod or Zune, whatever you're bumping at the time, it all flies .

It's now a pinned topic. I'm also making one rule for this topic: Whenever you post you need to try to put up one song, don't go off-topic in this thread.

I'll start it up with an unknown artist.

I've been on this guy for awhile now, I found him on another forum. He is a Hip-Hop artist, and I recommend you check out the first track on his player "Pure And Disposed To Mount Unto The Stars".

i dnt know if this thread existed already.but if it did , lets jst update it then.so , i know most of u here in WB makes hip hop.if u are hip hop , what sub genre do u do best ?

as for me , i have done : -

Hip hop : Ethnic , East coast , RNB , dirty south , trap , raggaeton , pop

Trance : electro / house , trance , hardstyle (hardtrance) , psytrance

other genre's : Epic orchestral , Experimentals , Rock , Hip hop Rock , Modern classical , Original scores (Soundtracks)

There are many reasons why Hip Hop is so popular world wide. One of these reasons is the fact that Hip hop is a form of music that can transcend culture. Some will say it’s a skill others say it’s a talent. The realty of this is Hip Hop is a mixer of both. Hip Hop will always be here with us because of it diversity, any culture can adopt it to their experience. Hip Hop unlike other genres can merge into other forms of music. It can be mix with rock, country, reggae and many others.

Hip Hop is also easier to get into than other genres. In many under develop nations where people can’t afford music lesson or instrument. Hip Hop is a way they can express themselves without using a lot of resources. All it takes is an open mind and a pen and a pad. Another factor that makes Hip Hop so popular world wild, is it ability to spread a message. A Hip Hop song has more word than most other genres of music. That makes it easier to get a point across and to inform others.

With the prices of computers going down and software getting better plus the Internet it look like Hip Hop will have a big independent and international movement coming soon. No one can ever predict what direction Hip Hop will take in the future, but indications show that there is a good chance that Hip Hop will be here for a long time to come.

Hey guys, I’m an intern from UMGD and I just came across an awesome single from Latin singer Iván. I’m huge fan of latin vocalists like Luis Miguel and Chayannes, and when I came across Iván I was ecstatic. His new single “Mi Fantasia” is absolutely amazing. It has a nice latin jazzy feel to it and his voice is pretty damn good. Can’t wait for his new album to release. His single is actually the ITunes single of the week and it’s free to download. So there is this new album coming up. Its sort of rock n roll with hiphop artists in it. Its like a big band. If your into that Wu-Tang meets Rock n Roll feel, you should definetaly check it out.

Needing Help

So I have recently started to record vocally on some tracks. But right now I am unable to really do anything because they aren't my beats so I've been singing choruses and what not. Can anyone help me out, either allow me to borrow some beats to record on, or like help me make some hip-hop beats. I'm messing with FL studios a lot, but it isn't the easiest thing to get the hang of. So if anyone could help me out that'd be great. I have a professional studio to record in that my cousins band records in and their label pays for, but I just need some beats or help making beats. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you in advance.

Today, I was sitting in my room listening to some of the beats I had made, trying to write lyrics to them, and I got to thinking. I thought to myself, "Why am I interested in this?" and "What makes me stick to my guns, and pursue a career in hip hop music, both producing and song writing? Especially when I feel like I'm down and out?"

Now I'm asking you this question. What makes you continue to battle on through this industry. What are your muse's, when you just can't get that motivation to make you tick over?

Things happen in our everyday lives that both depress our mood, and also that can uplift us and give us the will to keep pushing through something. Sure, It is a personal question to a degree. And please, dont share if you really feel the need not to. I dont want to try force anything out. But I'm curious to know what make's you guys stick to it, and if there is a deeper will than just wanting the money.

For me, my muse, when I'm low on ideas, low on hope, or just simply tired of not having the success as of yet, is to show the people who doubt me, and who made fun of me when I told them I want to be a producer. And, as cheesy and corney as it sounds, to show a girl, that she made a mistake leaving me.

This is of course, on top of the fact that I love music, and I love doing what I do.

Mods, Please move this if its not in the right Forum, I wasn't sure which one It would fit exactly. And to the rest of you who are happy to share, let them rip =D

The Twist

I hope this is the correct forum to post this subject. I wanted to talk about the new Music art form of "Twisting" which basically is taking samples, keyboards, drumz, and FX producing a unique sound that tells a "story" & seems unique to its original source of origin. I have discovered that while working diligently developing this new "genre'" (if you will) That the standard structure of Chorus, verse, Chorus Verse... yadda Yadda yadda got quite boring. I am trying to perfect a standard of making my music "Structure free" so I can put anything anywhere to tell a story and it still be in the groove and rhythmic.

I'm Trying hard to make music that captures the heart, mind, and soul. We have all heard songs about women, drugs, gangs, how hard a person is, and of course money... I would like to raise the conscious level of my listeners BUT this is sometimes hard to do with the content of samples used. I am currently trying to log samples from TV shows, movies (such as the Matrix etc), and of course CD's to bring a library of conscious sound bites to my Twists. I'm hoping that you can all follow what I'm saying here and honestly I would LOVE some help in that area. If there are any suggestions to how I can improve on this idea... or where I can get quality soundbites, or even how to make a free flowing unstructured compilation of samples to tell a story I would greatly appreciate that. I'm sure there are other "Twist" artists out there... I would LOVE to know who you are and collab with you!
