“If I share with you my story, will you share your dollar with me?” - Aloe Blacc

Hey readers, it’s been a little bit of a break since my last post. I’m real glad to see that the blog section here is attracting a pretty good amount of readers. It’s a great thing, I’m hoping I cause at least a little bit of knowledge bursts in some of you. At some point I will have a mailing list so that these posts will be sent direct to your email. What the future holds is (read more)

If I Don't Say This Now...

by Taylor Barclay on 27 Jan 2010 08:26 AM

This post stems from my last blog. So if you didn’t like my tone of the last one I’m going to try to be a little more open with my language here. But as I said, it stems from that post so..

I’m concerned. I sit here typing this listening to “Say This Now” by Karizmatik (recommended listening) gravely concerned. I’m concerned about the moral bankruptcy of our society. How people believe they are t (read more)

Warez He Coming From?

by Taylor Barclay on 06 Jan 2010 09:15 AM

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Well actually I don’t. But let me explain what I’m thinking here.
Years back (March 2007), I, like many of us on this site, began making music. It wasn’t too musical back when I started, but that’s beside the post. Me and a friend of mine were writing rap lyrics in these Mead notebooks and once we felt like ou (read more)

A New Beginning

by Taylor Barclay on 31 Dec 2009 03:12 PM

As this year comes to an end, take a look at the past year of your life. Take a look at all your accomplishments. Take a look at all the times you learned from your mistakes. Be sure to carry those things on with you into this next year.
For some of you reading this it may already be January 1st, so Happy New Years to you. If it is still (read more)

Recognizing Faults

by Taylor Barclay on 30 Dec 2009 05:58 PM

It’s one of the hardest things for any of us to do. It’s easy for us to point them out in others, but recognizing our own faults is against our nature. We’ve been spoonfed the fact that nothing is wrong with us our whole lives by people “encouraging” us, when in reality all of us have blaring faults. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t mean that you are a negative person to realize your faults. Some people may try to tel (read more)

Widening Horizons

by Taylor Barclay on 29 Dec 2009 05:41 PM

I hope everyone had a good holiday. Mine was stressful and full of anxiety but hey, family can bring out the best and the worst right? Either way, hope y’all had a decent time.
I really wasn’t too sure what I was going to blog about when I opened this word document, but when I named it ‘Widening Horizons’ I got a concept in my head. Lately (read more)

Your Days Are Numbered Like Pages In...

by Taylor Barclay on 16 Dec 2009 11:12 AM

My bad on the extended outing Warbeats, I’m a couple days late with this post. Since I’m starting off this post I thought I would let you guys (any producer chicks out there holla back girl) know a little more about the process I go through to do these blogs. I just type until something good comes to me. They always start off a bit awkward for me, I’m not the person who is used to opening up to other people, which (read more)

So Afraid Of..

by Taylor Barclay on 11 Dec 2009 09:09 AM

Yesterday was kind of a crazy day. As I write that it is still the day I’m calling yesterday though. You see I write up these blog posts every night at my house, which has no internet connection, so I take them to me on a flash drive the next day at work, where I then post them to you. But anyways, back to what I was saying.

The Last Thing That I Need..

by Taylor Barclay on 10 Dec 2009 09:55 AM

I’m going to become more dedicated to this blog. I’ve made that decision. At least as long as I feel it will benefit at least one of the members on this site. It’s just hard for me to get my crazy scrambled brain of things onto a word document sometimes, which is just an excuse. It has nothing to do with a scrambled brain, I never forget things and I rarely get all frazzled, so that whole sentence was just bullish. It’s jus (read more)

There Once Was A Saying, I Used To Say..

by Taylor Barclay on 06 Dec 2009 09:43 PM

I realized I hadn’t been in with a blog post in awhile, so here comes a brand new one.  I’ve been out and about busy with work and getting out to many social events in my local area.  Having an insane time and really realizing how awesomely dope my local area actually is (Northern California).  If you are ever in an area where you think there is no culture, no music, nothing interesting at all, just open your eyes a little more.  You might be surprised at w (read more)

Gotta Get Out..

by Taylor Barclay on 09 Nov 2009 12:47 PM

You ever been.. ah forget it. I always start my never-to-be-finished posts with a rhetorical question. Well shoes

Everyone goes through those big changes in their life. Some people say they come every seven years. The closest big change that came for me in the seven year increments section was when I turned 8 years old and no longer ran and jumped on my bed for the fear of Chucky the doll getting me from under my bed. And everybody knows what teenage boys learn (read more)

March 19th, 2007 Pt. 2

by Taylor Barclay on 29 Oct 2009 01:30 PM

This post continues from a preceding one titled “March 19th, 2007”.
So let’s take a deeper look at this relationship. I can’t lie and say it was all bad. Love, as elusive and mysterious as it is, was experienced by me. The best way I can describe that feeling is that when you’re with that person they’re the only ones around. When they talk, no others voices can be heard. When you see them in a crowd, suddenly the rest of the people around are transparent. Their eyes are the deepest chasms (read more)

Outta Sight, Outta Mind

by Taylor Barclay on 21 Oct 2009 12:46 PM

What did you do to make something in your life better today?  I ask this question because well, frankly, it’s a question that needs to be asked.  This last month, after finally being able to think about myself and clear my mind, I’ve come to realize something:  We’ve only got one life to live.
This life, in the moments of waning hope and the moments of orgasmic pleasure, is a one way road.  What happens when we get to the end of that road and the time spent sitting in (read more)

March 19th, 2007

by Taylor Barclay on 16 Oct 2009 09:27 AM

It was March 19th, 2007.  We were both immature and needed eachother to fill a gaping adolescent hole in our hearts.  Just like we had both dreamed, it all began peaches and cream.  Hands on each others waists, kissing and hugging, you know, all that stuff that is written about in books and shown to you on the movie screen.  Everything was perfect in the truest sense of the word.  Everything was perfect anyways.

We dated for 2 ½ years.  Like I said, everything be (read more)

Welcome To The Show

by Taylor Barclay on 21 Sep 2009 09:49 PM

All readers,
Welcome to my blog section of Warbeats.com.
Let me brief everyone on what this section will be showcasing from here on out.
I know we're all music makers here.  Music is a big part of most of us, but there are events that happen in our everyday lives that effect our musical beings inside.  I'm here to lay it all out on the table.  I'm here to tell you about my life, no sugarcoating or bullishting involved.
As this is only the introductory post, I will not (read more)
